Listing rules
What may and may not be published on Confedera: content rules, third-party rights, personal data, categories subject to requirements and consequences of breaches.
Version 1.0 · Last updated: 2026-08-21
1. General principle
A listing must describe a genuinely existing and available business, shareholding, service or offer, with accurate and non-misleading information.
Whoever publishes must be entitled to do so and able to evidence identity and title on request.
2. Prohibited content
Intentionally false, misleading or incomplete information about price, financials, availability or features.
Impersonation of people, companies, brands or institutions and unauthorised use of logos or company names.
Unlawful activities, fraud attempts, pyramid schemes, unjustified advance payment requests.
Content infringing third-party rights: copyright, trademarks, images or text used without permission.
Third-party personal data published without a legal basis (e.g. identifiable customer or employee lists).
Discriminatory, defamatory, violent, pornographic or otherwise illegal content.
Malware, phishing, deceptive links, hidden redirects.
Abusive duplicate listings posted to occupy search results.
3. Prohibited or conditional categories
Activities or goods whose marketing is prohibited under Swiss law are not allowed.
Some categories are allowed only with additional requirements (authorisations, licences, professional register entries); supporting evidence may be requested before or after publication.
4. Commercial statements and prices
Price information must be clear, complete and compliant with the Price Indication Ordinance; it must be apparent whether a price is indicative, negotiable or includes ancillary items.
Misleading commercial statements, unfair comparisons and unprovable result claims are not allowed (Unfair Competition Act).
5. Declared certifications and qualifications
Certifications, licences, awards and qualifications may only be stated if genuinely held and must be evidenced on request.
Publishing such statements is not a verification by Confedera; the checks actually performed are described on the Transparency page.
6. Uploaded content
Images, documents and attachments must be owned or validly licensed by the advertiser and must not contain confidential third-party data.
Listings must be kept up to date and withdrawn once the offer is no longer valid.
7. Consequences of breaches
Where rules are breached we may act proportionately: request changes, reduce visibility, suspend or remove the listing, or suspend the account for serious or repeated breaches.
Where the law requires it, we may have to inform the competent authorities.
Anyone can report a listing from the listing page or from the reporting page.
